My research interests focus on integrating Geographic Information Science with Computational Sciences to improve basic understanding of Earth functions. I have contributed to research on watershed systems modeling and characterization, studies of channel morphology and evolution through laboratory and field experiments, and advanced information extraction from remotely sensed imagery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am also a faculty member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/w1.mtsu.edu\/programs\/computational-science-phd\">Computational and Data Science, Ph.D.<\/a> program and I serve as graduate coordinator for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/program\/geosciences-m-s\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/program\/geosciences-m-s\/\">M.S. in Geosciences<\/a>. Additionally, I am a member of the of the scientific and development team of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usda.gov\/wps\/portal\/usda\/usdahome\">U.S. Department of Agriculture<\/a>-supported\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ars.usda.gov\/Research\/docs.htm?docid=5222\">Annualized AGricultural Non-Point Source<\/a>\u00a0(AnnAGNPS) watershed pollutant loading model and the <a href=\"https:\/\/fargo.nserl.purdue.edu\/rusle2_dataweb\/RUSLE2_Index.htm\">Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation, Version 2<\/a> (RUSLE2) soil erosion model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I teach a variety of courses in data analysis, remote sensing, watershed modeling, and spatial analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am a professor in the\u00a0Department of Geosciences\u00a0at\u00a0Middle Tennessee State University\u00a0(MTSU) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, U.S.A.
