Faculty PI/Director: Dr. Misa Faezipour 

Dr. Misa Faezipour is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at Middle Tennessee State University. She is the founder and director of the Systems Engineering Lab (SEL). Her research interests lie in the broad area of system dynamics modeling, complex systems, sustainability, product and process management optimization, and applications of systems engineering in various areas such as energy and healthcare systems. She is a member of INCOSE, IEEE, IISE, ASEM, and System Dynamics Society professional organizations and societies.

Ahmeed Adekunle Yinusa

Ahmeed Adekunle Yinusa is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computational and Data Science at Middle Tennessee State University. He received a National Diploma in Electrical Electronics Engineering from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos, Nigeria in 2006. He also received a BSc in Applied Physics Electronics in 2010, and a MSc in Systems Engineering in 2015, both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His graduate thesis at the time was “The Development of an Integrated System for Pipeline Vandalism Detection”. Ahmeed graduated with a MSc in Engineering Technology and Industrial Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. He is a Graduate Research Assistant since Fall 2020 in the Engineering Technology Department. His Graduate research thesis at MTSU was on “The Application of Systems Engineering to Address CKD Healthcare Disparities using System Dynamics Modeling”. Ahmeed was awarded the outstanding graduate student award in the Engineering Technology Graduate program from the ET department in May 2021. He is a member of IISE and the System Dynamics Society (SDS).

Ashiat Ashake Adeogun

Ashiat Ashake Adeogun is a M.S. in Health Care Informatics graduate from Middle Tennessee State University (December 2024). She received her first degree in Computer Science from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos State, Nigeria, in 2010.  Ashiat received a master’s in Applied Data Analytics from Data ScienceTech Institute, Paris, France in 2022. She has been working as a Graduate Assistant since the spring of 2023. She has worked in various companies as Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Analyst. Ashiat has vast experience working with analyzing, modeling, and visualizing data. She completed her internship at Tempo Technology where she participated in an Informatics team developing, testing, piloting, and implementing a pre through post implementation of an EHR system.

Lateefat Kikelomo Amao

Lateefat Kikelomo Amao is a M.S. in Health Care Informatics graduate from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2024).  She received her first degree in Medicine and Surgery from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria, in 2011. She received a master’s degree in public health (MPH) from the University of Manchester in 2017.
Lateefat is currently working as a Graduate Assistant since Fall 2022. She has vast public health experience working at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as the National Incident Manager for the country’s Monkeypox Technical Working Group and the Team Lead for the National Public Health Risk Assessment Unit. Lateefat completed her internship at NHC.

Rajallaya Acharya

Rajallaya Acharya is a M.S student in Healthcare Informatics at the Middle Tennessee State University.  She is currently working as a Graduate Assistant since Fall 2024.

Samuella Ofori Amanfo

Samuella Ofori Amanfo is a M.S. Student in Health Care Informatics at the Middle Tennessee State University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Publishing Studies and have completed several courses in publishing, copyright law, communication skills, principles of management, applied management cases, printing, accounting, and editorial practices and theory. She has worked as the Teaching administrative assistant for the Department of Publishing Studies and also worked as an administrative assistant at University Press, KNUST and has worked as an administrative assistant at Rynie Beauty Hub. Her research interest is on the Impact of Social Media on Healthcare Publishing. She is currently working as a Graduate Assistant since Fall 2024.

Damilare Ogungbesan

Damilare Ogungbesan graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2025). He received his bachelor degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria in 2007. He received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -ife, Osun State, Nigeria in 2013 and he received another master’s degree in Data Analytics from Data ScienceTech Institute, Sophia Antipolis, France in 2021.

Damilare worked as a Graduate Assistant from August 2023 – May 2025. He has a good combination of technical and commercial skills, having worked with different multinational organizations in the engineering and IT sector. He also has a wealth of international experience, having worked in different countries across different continents. He worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst in France before joining MTSU. His area of expertise is data transformation, modelling and visualization. He enjoys creating meaningful insights that inform sound decision making from raw data.

Damilare is currently a Clinical Applications Coordinator at Tennessee Department of Health.

Oladunni Oyedotun

Oladunni Oyedotun graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2025). She received her bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2011. She obtained a masters of Public Health with concentration in child and adolescent health also at the University of Ibadan in 2017. Due to her interest in nutrition in vulnerable groups she obtained a MSc in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 2022. Oladunni is a family physician with a vast experience in clinical practice, spaning over a decade. She is a member of the West Africa College of Physicians. She is passionate about using technology to tackle the inefficiencies in healthcare system and promote healthy communities. Oladunni was a Graduate Assistant from Fall 2023-May 2025.

Eunice Abu

Eunice Ujomo Abu graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2025). She received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Lagos State University, Nigeria in 2015, and worked as a Lab Assistant at the AMC Hospital. Eunice was a Graduate Assistant from Fall 2023-May 2025.

Sirisha Valluru

Sirisha Valluru graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2025). She received her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery. She worked as a dentist in India. She has 1 year of experience in this field. She was a Graduate Assistant in Fall 2023.  

Keerthi Reddy Chaduvula Venkata

Keerthi Reddy Chaduvula Venkata graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (Dec 2023). She received her undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery and worked as a dentist in India and has three years of experience working in this field. Keerthi has also worked as a Marketing Intern with Aramark at MTSU. She was a Graduate Assistant from Fall 2022-Fall 2023. She is currently a Programming Analysist II at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine.

Betelhem A Bulcha

Betelhem (Betty) Abera Bulcha graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2023).  She received two B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering and Management from Unity University and Admas University in Ethiopia in 2021. She completed her B.S. thesis on “Assesment of acceptance of prefabrication building technology” in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. Betelhem worked as a Graduate Assistant Fall 2021-May 2023. Her research was focused on a holistic approach to effectively identify common risk factors of maternal mortality in population affected by health disparities from a systems engineering perspective. Betty is currently a Project Analyst at Turner & Townsend.

Aishat Adegboye

Aishat Adegboye graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2023).  She received her B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 2015. Aishat worked as a Graduate Research Assistant from Fall 2021-May 2023. She has experience working as a Metering Engineer in Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, Abuja, Nigeria. Her research was on effects of screen time on young children from a systems engineering perspective. Aishat has worked as a Manufacturing Associate with Alcon Company. She is currently a PhD student at Kennesaw State University.

Adegboyega Olajideh

Adegboyega Olajide graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management from Middle Tennessee State University (Dec 2022). He received his B.S. Mechanical Engineering from University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria in 2018. He has experience working as a Service Engineer in Cfao Motors, Abuja, Nigeria. Adegboyega worked as a Graduate Assistant from Aug 2021-Dec 2022.

Mary Adeyemo (Daini)

Mary Adeyemo (Daini) graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2024). She received her B.S. in Tourism Management from Redeemer’s University, Nigeria in 2010 and her M.S. in Tourism and Events Management from the University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom in 2013. Mary was a Graduate Assistant from since Fall 2022. She has experience working as administrative personnel across various capacities in Nigeria.

Gbemisola Akinteye

Gbemisola (Elizabeth) Akinteye graduated with a M.S. in Health Care Informatics from Middle Tennessee State University (Dec 2023). She received her B. Tech in Microbiology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Nigeria in 2015. Gbemisola was a Graduate Assistant from Spring 2022 to end of Summer 2022. She has experience working as an underwriter and claims specialist at Custodian and Allied Insurance Plc, Nigeria. She is currently a Quality Analyst at Regeneron.

Brianna Bauman (Ediger)

Brianna Bauman (Ediger) graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management from Middle Tennessee State University (Dec 2021). She received her B.S. in Mechatronics Engineering from Middle Tennessee State University in 2020. Brianna worked as a Graduate Assistant from Sep 2020-Dec 2021. She was awarded the outstanding graduate student award in the Engineering Management Graduate program from the ET department in May 2021. Brianna is currently a Field Quality Assurance Engineer at Nissan.

Parisa Nasrzadeh

Parisa Nasrzadeh graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management from Middle Tennessee State University (Aug 2021). She received her B.S. in Geology and M.S. in Geological Engineering from Tarbiat Modares University and Azad University in Tehran, Iran. Parisa worked as a Graduate Assistant from Jan 2020-Aug 2021. She is currently an Assistant Project Manager (APM, Eng.) at SSOE Group.

Nasim Ganjavi

Nasim Ganjavi was a M.S. student in Engineering Management at Middle Tennessee State University. She received her B.S. in Industrial Management and M.A. in Industrial Management from Mazandaran University of Science & Technology and Azad University, Iran. Nasim worked as a Graduate Assistant from Jan-May 2021. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh.

Christian Lawrence

Christian Lawrence graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management from Middle Tennessee State University (May 2020). She received her B.S. in Biology: Genetics and Biotechnology with a minor in Japanese from Middle Tennessee State University in 2018. Christian worked as a Graduate Research Assistant from Sep 2018-May 2020. She was awarded the outstanding graduate student award in the Engineering Management Graduate program from the ET department in May 2020.
